Meet Dr. Martin, DC cAVCA

I am Dr. Aidan Martin, a Doctor of Chiropractic and AVCA-certified animal chiropractor, with a lifelong passion for helping animals live healthier, more comfortable, and more active lives. My journey into animal chiropractic is deeply rooted in the way I was raised and my lifelong connection to animals.

I have been around the animal world my entire life. Both of my parents are veterinarians, so caring for animals was never simply a profession that I observed from a distance—it was a part of my everyday life. Growing up, I was fortunate to be surrounded by animals of all kinds and to see firsthand the bond that exists between animals and the people who care for them. I watched my parents dedicate their lives to helping animals and learned from an early age the importance of compassion, patience, and truly listening to what an animal needs.

That upbringing shaped the person and doctor I am today. My love for animals has continued to grow throughout my life, and I have always felt a strong responsibility to advocate for them. Animals have a unique way of communicating with us, but they cannot simply tell us when something doesn't feel right, where they hurt, or what is preventing them from doing the things they love. They rely on us to recognize the signs, understand their bodies, and find ways to help them. That is what ultimately drew me to animal chiropractic.

As an AVCA-certified animal chiropractor, I have dedicated myself to understanding the biomechanics and function of the animal body so that I can provide care designed specifically for each individual animal. My approach is centered around evaluating how an animal moves, identifying areas of restriction or dysfunction, and helping restore proper movement and function.

I believe every animal deserves to be treated as an individual. Whether they are a beloved family pet, a working animal, a competitive athlete, or simply an aging companion, my goal is always the same: to help them move better, feel better, and enjoy a better quality of life.

I am passionate about providing a drug-free approach to care that works with the body's natural ability to heal and function. When an animal is able to move the way it was designed to move, it can better perform the activities that are important to its quality of life—from running and playing to simply getting up, walking, and enjoying time with their family.

For me, this is more than just a career. Helping animals is something I have been preparing for my entire life. I am grateful for the opportunity to combine my education as a Doctor of Chiropractic with my lifelong experience around animals to provide a unique approach to their care.

Every animal deserves someone who will listen when they cannot speak, recognize when something is not right, and advocate for their health and comfort. That is the responsibility I take seriously, and it is the reason I do what I do.

My goal is to give every animal I work with the same level of compassion, attention, and dedication that I would want for my own animals. I look forward to being a part of their journey toward better movement, improved comfort, and a happier, healthier life.

At Happy Tails Animal Chiropractic, our mission is simple: to help animals move, feel, and function at their very best.

Animals cannot tell us exactly where they hurt or what they need, so it is my responsibility to listen to what their bodies are telling us. Through careful evaluation, I look for restrictions and areas of dysfunction within the joints and musculoskeletal system that may be affecting an animal's movement, comfort, and overall function.

Chiropractic adjustments works on restoring proper joint motion and function. By addressing joint restrictions, our goal is to restore range of motion, reduce pain and discomfort, support healthy nervous system function and communication, and allow the body to move as naturally as it was designed to.

Dr. Martin, Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) to provide animal chiropractic care.

In accordance with Florida law, a signed veterinary referral from the animal’s licensed veterinarian is required before any animal chiropractic evaluation or treatment can take place. No animal will be evaluated or treated without a completed and signed veterinary referral.

If you do not already have a veterinary referral, Happy Tails Animal Chiropractic can, upon request, email your veterinarian a referral request for their review and signature. The veterinarian will determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate for your animal and whether a referral should be provided.

Animal chiropractic care is intended to complement, not replace, conventional veterinary medical care. Chiropractic evaluation and treatment do not substitute for diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or other medical services provided by a licensed veterinarian.
